Leg 4: Evansville to Kansas City, KS

Pass Through

St. Louis and Jefferson City

Approximate Miles

425

About the Route

No road trip through St. Louis would be complete without a tour to the top of the 630-foot tall Gateway Arch. A tram carries you comfortably to the enclosed observation deck, where you will view St. Louis and the Mississippi River, and gaze into Illinois. If the long day of driving to Kansas City doesn’t intimidate you into hitting the highway sooner rather than later, stop by Anheuser-Busch for a Budweiser Brewery tour. You will also get to visit the Clydesdales Stables as part of your memorable (and tasty) visit.

Side Trips & Must Do

Ride to the top of the St. Louis Gateway Arch and tour Anheuser-Busch Brewery

Foods You Must Try

Gooey Butter Cake (St. Louis), St. Louis toasted ravioli, Kansas City barbecue, apple cider, wheat breads (Kansas), catfish (Missouri), St. Paul sandwich (St. Louis)
